The government of Norway has agreed to provide a grant assistance of Rs. 2.34 billion for the implementation of National Rural and Renewable Energy Programme (NRREP).
The agreement to this effect was signed between Finance Secretary Krishna Hari Baskota and Ambassador of Royal Norwegian Embassy to Nepal Llf Arne Ramslien on behalf of their respective government, here in the capital on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology is the executing agency and the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) is the implementation agency of this programme.
The programme will be implemented till July 15, 2017.
