At a time when the Prime Minister has turned down the Maoist recommendation to reshuffle its team in the government, UCPN (Maoist) secretary C.P Gajurel has claimed that the new ministerial candidates would be sworn in by Thursday.
Speaking at an interaction on Wednesday, the Maoist leader warned that his party would be compelled to call back all Maoist ministers in the cabinet if the Prime Minister does not implement the recommendation.
Gajurel, who even vowed to break the coalition government with CPN-UML, claimed the PM has no alternative than to reshuffle the cabinet as per the Maoist recommendation.
"The reshuffle will not hamper the existing political scenario," Gajurel said adding, " It is not for UML or any other party to put a stamp of approval on the decision of our party."
Speaking at the same programme, UML leader Pradeep Gyawali ruled out the possibility of cabinet reshuffle at this hour and asked the UCPN (Maoist) to understand the situation.
Gyawali also said PM Khanal would better decide to step down than accept the Maoist proposal to call back the existing Maoist ministers from the cabinet and sworn in new ones.
