Three persons were killed and nine others injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Dharapani of Chhatiban VDC, Doti district Sunday morning.
According to police, a Mahakali Yatayat bus (Me 1 Kha 4912) en route to Mahendranagar fell some 300 meters below the road at 1 am this morning, before it overturned, killing three passengers on the spot.
Police later identified one of the deceased as Dipendra Bahadur Pal of Kanchanpur while the identity of two other victims is yet to be ascertained.
The injured patients are being treated at Attaria Hospital and Padma Hospital in the district. Some of them were reported to be critical.
A team of police personnel has reached the site to investigate the cause of the accident, informed Attariya based police station.
