UML leader Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli has warned to topple Jhala Nath Khanal from the post of both the Prime Minister and the party chairman if he takes the decision to give the portfolio of home ministry to the Maoists without consulting other leaders of the UML.
Speaking at a programme organised by Reporters Club Nepal on Saturday Oli said, the decision to give home ministry to the Maoists will cost dear to Mr. Khanal.
Oli further said, Khanal had been removed from the post general secretary in 1990 as he acted arbitrarily against the welfare of the party and that he would be removed again if he takes decisions against the welfare of the party.
Internal row within the ruling party UML has increased a lot after the election of Khanal as the PM. Oli’s latest comments come amid reports that PM Khanal had agreed to give the home ministry to the Maoists.
