Three Bangladeshi nationals arrested for operating VoIP service

Police on Thursday arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from a house in the capital for illegally operating Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), a service which allows callers to make international calls in a cheap rate by bypassing government authorised telecom operators.

A special police team from the Metropolitan Office raided a house in Khumaltar of Lalitpur and apprehended the Bangladeshi nationals this afternoon.
The police team also confiscated specialised equipments required for operating the service including 'SIM cards' that they sold their customers to use the service
