Maoist cadre shot dead; Bara closed in protest

A Unified CPN (Maoist) cadre has been shot dead by an unidentified group in Bara, Thursday morning.

Keshari Prasad Yadav, resident of Parshuram VDC of the district, was shot at when he was sleeping on the terrace of his house at about 2 am, Thursday.
Yadav, who recieved two bullets on chest and abdomen, died while being taken to the hospital, according to police.
Unified CPN (Maoist), Bara has called a bandh in the district protesting against the murder.
Yadav was a member of the Maoists' Bhojpura Rajya Samiti.
Samyukta Jantantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (Ajad faction) has taken the responsibility of the murder. District coordinator of the Morcha Bikram Singh called up local journalists and owned up the murder.
