KATHMANDU: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O Blake, Jr. arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday for a two-day visit.
Blake will call on political leaders, government officials, business leaders to discuss the ongoing peace process, statute-drafting and the issues related to human trafficking and economic development during his visit, a press statement issued by the Public Affairs Office of the US Embassy, Kathmandu said.
After completion of his visit to Nepal, Blake will leave for Bhutan to lead the US-observer delegation at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit in Thimphu from April 28 to 29.
He will also hold meetings with regional leaders on the margins of the Summit. Likewise, Blake will lead a US-government delegation to the US-China Sub-Dialogue on South Asia in Beijing from May 3 to 4, states the release.
