Popular columnist found dead inside hotel

Senior journalist Bharat Bhurtel, who was mostly known for his political satires, was found dead at Pashupati Guest House in Gaushala of the capital on Friday.

Police suspect Bhurtel committed suicide as he was found hanging in the bathroom of room no 301 of the guest house at 2 pm today.
The owner of Pashupati Guest House had contacted the police after Bhurtel didn't come out of the guest house since Wednesday. He had been staying at the hotel since the last three days.
He had recently finished writing a biography on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and had passed it on for publication.
Police said Bhurtel's body has been sent for post-mortem.
Bhurtel was a former editorial-advisor for Kantipur publication's Nepal Weekly and had been writing a popular satirical column titled 'Charit Charcha' where he mostly lampooned the politicians and the political parties
