KATHMANDU: Nepal Students Union (NSU) which has been staging agitations in the capital demanding the unconditional release of its cadre Bishnu Poudel withdrew the scheduled programs of protests on Tuesday.
NSU withdrew the torch rally scheduled to stage in the capital this evening and it also withdrew the Kathmandu Valley banch scheduled to enforce on Wednesday after Poudel was arrested from the premises of Tri-Chandra Campus last Thursday was released as per the direction of Kathmandu CDO this afternoon.
Poudel who is vice chairman of Free Students Union at Tri-Chandra Campus was in police custody on the charge of his hand in beating up Samik Badal, ANNFSU primary committee chairman at the college two weeks ago.
