Nepalis across the country abroad are observing Mother's Day by worshipping and offering gifts to their mothers, Wednesday.
Mother's Day is observed every year on the no moon day of Baisakh month according to the lunar calendar to acknowledge a mother's contribution to her children.
People offer gifts and sweets to make their mother happy on this day.
Those whose mother has passed away go to Matatirtha in Kathmandu and make offerings in the name of their deceased mother.
Thousands of people have thronged Matatirtha Wednesday morning for the ritual of paying homage to their deceased mother.
