CPN (Unifified) calls off Tuesday's bandh

Ram Singh Shris-led CPN (Unified) has called off its bandh (shutdown strike) in the Kathmandu Valley in view of the rallies planned by Unified CPN (Maoist) on Tuesday.

The CPN (Unified) had announced bandh to create pressure for timely drafting of the constitution and to 'warn' other parties against compromising on nationality.
A faction of this fringe communist party, led by Nabaraj Subedi, had announced its merger with UCPN (Maoist), on Saturday
