The top political parties are busy holding internal meetings on Thursday to find a way of the prevalent political deadlock that is threatening to delay the constitution drafting process.
The Parliamentary Party meeting of the main ruling party CPN (UML) and Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of coalition partner Nepali Congress has begun a short while ago today.
CPN (UML) is holding the meeting at Singha Durbar, the seat of the government, wherein its leaders are putting forth their viewpoint as to whether Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal should continue or step down from his post.
NC is holding its CWC meeting at the part's central office in Sanepa.
Reports quoted NC leaders as saying that the NC meeting will hold discussion on the preparation that should be done for the much awaited 12th General Convention of the party.
The meeting will also set the date for the party's area, town and district committee's convention.
Meanwhile, the main opposition Unified CPN (Maoist) is also holding its standing committee meeting as well as politburo meeting today.
The party said the standing committee meeting is being held to sort out the agenda for discussion during the politburo meeting.
There will be discussion on timely constitution drafting and the party's future agenda during the meeting
