The Maoist trade union, All Nepal Trade Union Federation (ANTUF), has closed down factories and industries across the country and has announced three-hour long nationwide 'chakka jam' (vehicle strike) in protest against the murder of its central leader Ram Ayodhi Yadav in Siraha three days ago.
Industries remain closed in all major towns due to the strike while ANTUF members staged demonstrations in several industrial estates.
Likewise, the Maoist trade union is enforcing three-hour chakka jam across the country to protest the killing. The chakka jam in Kathmandu started at 12:00 pm.
